I guess I needed some rest because I slept in until noon today. I was so glad that Kim and John invited us to stay another day and Mike agreed. Knowing how I've been feeling he realized an unscheduled day of rest was probably just what I needed. I do feel much better after getting some extra ZZZZZZZs. With John at work and the kids at school today, we had a quiet day at the house catching up on the blog, paying bills online and doing research for the next leg of our journey. Gregory enjoyed playing Legos, watching some cartoons, walking the dog and riding the scooter and bike. He had no trouble staying entertained until the kids came home from school.

Last night the kids started the movie "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" but being a school night we had to tuck them in before it was over. So, when school was out today they watched the ending and then I helped them with their homework before they headed outside for the rest of the evening until dinnertime. While Kim prepared dinner I got to snuggle up and read with Amanda and Alyssa. Alex finished some writing homework and Gregory wrote in his journal and then they were allowed to play a bit before bedtime.

The kids were pretty wound up tonight but we just let them play and have a good time knowing this was their last evening together. Gregory forgot to give his cousins the glow sticks we purchased for Halloween so that was kind of a fun surprise. They were all in Alex's bedroom, watching a program with the lights out, when I handed them to Gregory and said, "Look what we forgot." As I closed the door and he was handing them out I heard a chorus of, "Cool. You're the best cousin ever." It has been a visit he will never forget.
